There are six fairly defined seasons. They are mentioned in Genesis 8:22.

  1. Seed-Time = From the middle of Octomber to the middle of December.
  2. Winter        = From the middle of December to the middle of Februbary.
  3. Cold        = From the middle of Februbary to the middle of April.
  4. Harvest   = From the middle of April to the middle of June.
  5. Summer  = From the middle of June to the middle of August.
  6. Heat     = From the middle of August to the middle of Octember.

* Hebrew months were 29 or 30 days each. Their years consisted of 12 lunar months or of 354 1/4 days.
Therefore. About every three years (7 times in 19 years) the 13th month, Veador (also called Second
ADAR), is added between ADAR and NISAN, It is known as an "intercalary month."
